Pat's Pony Express
Pat's Pony Express is a trail race held at Rampart Reservoir near the Rainbow Gulch Trailhead in Colorado Springs, CO 80921. The event returns the earlier Pony Express race as an annual race weekend held on the second Saturday of August and was originally founded in 1977.
The program offers two trail distances:
- 8 Miles
- 16 Miles
Registration for both distances is run through the listed event registration period. Entry fees for 2026 are $65 for the 8 mile distance and $80 for the 16 mile distance. Pikes Peak Road Runner members receive a $15 discount on either race distance when registering through the event registration platform.
