Event details
The Frosty 5K and Reindeer Run takes place on December 13, 2025, in Stafford, VA at Embrey Mill Park (1600 Mine Road). The event includes these distances:
- 5K - open to ages 5 to 110; registration price listed as $35.
- 1 Mile Reindeer Run - open to ages 3 to 12; registration price listed as $22.50.
- A separate 5K registration is available for Stafford school employees.
The 5K returns to a USATF certified course along the rolling hills of Mine Road. The race has been held in Stafford for multiple years and is the final race in the 2025 Stafford Race Series and the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix Series.
Logistics and awards
Registration is online only; there is no paper registration. Strollers are permitted but must start toward the back. Dogs are not permitted. Race packets will not be mailed; packet pick up is available on two evenings before the event and on race morning at the Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center area. Transfers and refunds are not allowed, but someone else may pick up a participant packet.
All finishers receive a long-sleeve race shirt and a custom finisher medal. Overall 5K awards use gun time; age group awards use chip time. Separate age divisions are listed for the 5K and the 1 mile. The event supports Gwyneth's Gift Foundation and its work on CPR and AED education and placement.
