Gentex Park2Park Event Overview
The Gentex Park2Park Race is an annual athletic event held in Holland, Michigan, that serves as a fundraiser for the community organization Neighbors Plus. The event takes place at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, which serves as both the starting and finishing point for the physical races. Participants can choose from several event formats:
- Half-Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Virtual Half-Marathon
- Virtual 5K
The 13.1 mile half-marathon course follows the shores of Lake Macatawa through the Waukazoo Woods neighborhoods, continuing to Holland State Park. The route then loops north on Lakeshore Drive toward Tunnel Park before returning through local neighborhoods to the fairgrounds. The course includes six aid stations providing water and energy drinks, along with four restroom facilities located at various points. Participants in this distance are required to maintain a pace of 16 minutes per mile or faster.
The 5K course is open to both runners and walkers. This route loops through the Waukazoo Woods neighborhood along Lake Macatawa and features one water station for participants. Both the 5K and the half-marathon events are timed by Classic Race Management to ensure accurate results for all competitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
