Park 2 Park 5 Miler
The Park 2 Park 5 Miler takes place on July 4, 2026 in Fairview Park, Normal, Illinois. The event is organized as a 5 mile road race and is managed by the Park 2 Park 5 Miler organization.
The race began in 1985 as the Intercity 10K and was changed to a five mile distance after two years. In 1993 the Lake Run Club began organizing the event and established an accurate 5 mile course. The field has grown to about 500 runners.
Registration opens February 1, 2026. The listed entry price is $25. Discounted entry amounts are available for Lake Run Club members and for members of Springfield Road Runners and Starved Rock. A race shirt is guaranteed for registrants who register by June 18 at 12:00 noon. Bib and shirt pickup requires completion of online registration; early pickup arrangements are to be announced or pickup is available at Fairview Park on race morning.
There is no parking at Fairview Park. Parking is available in the Illinois State University lot on Main Street just south of Fairview Park. The course includes three water stations. Awards are given overall male and female and to the top three male and female in each listed age group; awards will be available near the finish line rather than presented in a ceremony. Race results are posted on the event results page. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
