Park 2 Park 5 Miler
Park 2 Park is a single-day 5 mile running event held at Fairview Park in Normal, Illinois on 07/04/2026. The event traces its origin to 1985 as the Intercity 10K and was converted to a 5 mile distance after two years; the course was made accurate under Lake Run Club organization in 1993. The field has grown to approximately 500 runners.
Online registration opens 02/01/2026 and closes 04/18/2026; the standard registration fee is $30.00. Discounts apply for Lake Run Club members ($3) and for Springfield Road Runners and Starved Rock members ($1). To guarantee a Park 2 Park race shirt, registration must be completed by 06/18 at 12:00 noon.
Bib and shirt pickup requires completed online registration; no paper registration is available. Early pickup details are to be determined, or pickup is available at Fairview Park on race morning from 6:00 AM to 6:45 AM. No parking is available at Fairview Park. Parking is available in the Illinois State University lot on Main Street just south of Fairview Park.
There are three water stations on course. Awards are given to Overall Male and Female and to the top three Male and Female in each age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. There will not be an awards ceremony; awards are available near the finish beginning at 8:00 AM. Results for this year are available online.
