About the race
The Paris Balloon & Music Festival 5K is the third annual 5-kilometre run and walk held on September 12, 2026. The event is sponsored by Physical Therapy of Paris and continues an event series that began with an inaugural run in 2024. The course is a fast out-and-back route on the Trail de Paris that starts and ends next to the Paris Pump Track. Event activities are integrated with the wider festival schedule.
The festival takes place at the Lamar County Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday nights, while the 5K and the balloon launch occur at the Love Civic Center on Saturday morning. Awards are given to the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers. A new custom wooden finisher medal is introduced for 2026, and every finisher receives a wooden finisher medal. A T-shirt will be guaranteed for participants who register by September 1, 2026; registrations after that date are subject to shirt availability.
