IRON HORSE Endurance Run
IRON HORSE is an endurance event on January 2, 2027 on the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT) near Paris, Texas. The event offers multiple distances on a point to point trail corridor that passes through small towns, bridges, prairies, and mixed backcountry surfaces.
Distances include:
- 100 Miler
- 100K
- 100K RUCK
- 50K
The course surface includes dirt, gravel, paved trails, roads, and sidewalks. Elevation is generally flat with approximately 1000 feet of gain for the 100K and about 2000 feet of gain for the 100 Miler. The event base is at the Love Civic Center, 2025 S Collegiate Dr, Paris, TX 75460. Historic average temperatures for the period range from about 33 to 53 degrees Fahrenheit.
Support and rules: the course is fully supported with aid stations, warming stations, crew access points, and event photography. The event does not provide disposable cups so participants must use their own water carrying system. Pacing is limited to one pacer per runner and only allowed in the last half of each race. Ruck weight requirements apply: runners over 150 lb carry 30 lb, runners under 150 lb carry 20 lb.
Finishers receive gear and awards including event apparel, engraved finisher plaques that include an authentic Northeast Texas Trail railroad spike, distance-specific buckles, and place awards.
