Event Overview
The Paris Texas Marathon takes place in Paris, Texas, located approximately 90 minutes northeast of Dallas and 20 minutes south of the Oklahoma border. This running event is held on the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT), which is a rails-to-trails conversion route. The course features a variety of surfaces, including asphalt, soft ground, and gravel trails, and includes several bridge crossings.
The event offers a wide range of distances for participants to choose from:
- 100K ultra marathon
- 50K ultra marathon
- 26.2 Miles (Marathon) available in morning and evening sessions
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon) available in morning and evening sessions
- 10K
- 5K available in morning and evening sessions
The course is described as flat and fast. All scheduled distances begin and end at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Texas. Participants have the option to compete in morning races, evening races, or both. Those who complete a distance in both the morning and the evening sessions take part in the Paris Pair Challenge. Registration for all categories is scheduled to occur during January.
