About the race
Paris Texas Marathon, held Saturday, September 18, 2027 in Paris, Texas, takes place on the NETT Trail, a rails-to-trails conversion route east of the city. All distances start and end at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Texas / Love Civic Center and follow out-and-back courses on the trail. The trail surface is mixed: the first nine miles are asphalt, beyond that the path becomes hard-packed gravel, with sections of soft ground and some bridge crossings. The organizer describes the route as flat and fast with a trail atmosphere.
Morning and evening race options are offered for several distances; evening runners must use a headlamp. The event enforces a 2 a.m. final cutoff for the 100K and all evening races, and there are intermediate cutoffs for the 100K. This is a cupless race; all runners must carry a hydration device.
Aid stations staffed by volunteers provide water, Gatorade, fruit, sandwiches, chips, cookies, soda, electrolyte products and more. Portable toilets are placed at the start/finish and at aid stations, with additional permanent toilets along the NETT Trail. Services and rules include drop-bag delivery to the Blossom aid station if bags are submitted at packet pickup, pacers permitted only for the 100K final out-and-back with check-in and waiver, awards for top finishers and masters, a buckle for 100K finishers, and finisher medals for other distances.
