Event overview

The 2026 Paradise Springs 5k & 10k takes place on February 28, 2026 at Paradise Springs in Clifton, VA. Distances offered:

  • 5k
  • 10k

Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Sippin Series. A virtual race option is available. Registered runners receive a glass of wine from Paradise Springs Winery, a finisher medal, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, and chip timing.

Course and logistics

The course runs through Hemlock Overlook Park and along the river. It is a technical trail route with significant elevation changes and a very technical rocky section. The 10k consists of two laps of the 5k route. Water and hydration: three water stations on the 10k course at approximately miles 2.3, 3.1, and 5.4; one water station on the 5k at about mile 2.3. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located in the winery. Packet pickup is available at the event; runners are advised to arrive about one hour before their event start time to check in. Race day registration is available; t-shirt sizes are guaranteed only for registrations completed before February 18.

Results, awards, and other details

Live results will be posted on Athlinks and via an on-site QR code; final results with series points will be posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first male and female in the listed age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. The event partners with the John P. Mayhugh Foundation, which focuses on brain health, post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, and addiction.
