About the race
The Paradise Grill Stop-Drop & Run is a fundraising 5K event held at Paradise Grill, 27344 Bay Road, Long Neck, DE 19966 on September 20, 2026. The event benefits the Indian River Fire Department and is produced by Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.
The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles). The course is described as flat and fast with a unique split about one quarter mile in: participants may continue on a water-side course or follow a woods/off-road out-and-back course. Both courses rejoin at approximately 2.6 miles for the final dash to the finish. Race timing uses the Chronotrack B Chip system.
Race amenities include custom t-shirts, custom awards, a post-race awards ceremony held within 20 minutes of the final finisher, and post-race refreshments. Awards are given to Overall Male and Female champions, Overall Male and Female Masters (40+), and the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 9 & under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, then 10-year age groups through 70+.
Registration fees follow tiered pricing: $30 through September 13, 2026; $35 during race week September 14–19, 2026; and $40 on race day. Registration is available online or by mail using a paper form; mailed entries should be sent to Seashore Striders, 9 Gander Lane, Lewes, DE 19958.
