Pancreatic Cancer Awareness 5K Fun Run/Walk in Honor of a Loved One
This community 5K run and walk is organized by the loved ones of the event honoree to remember a family member and to support others affected by cancer. The course starts and finishes at Cole Park, North/East entrance, in Alamosa, Colorado. The event offers two participant categories by age and covers 3.1 miles (5K).
Registration is online only. Registration opens April 6, 2026 and closes July 25, 2026. Entry fees are listed as $25 for adults and $18 for participants age 16 and under. Only registrations completed by July 5, 2026 are guaranteed a race T shirt; shirts will not be ordered after that deadline.
The organizer family will allocate donations with half returned to families in the local community who are fighting pancreatic cancer and half given to the San Luis Valley Cancer Center in Alamosa. Participants are asked to wear purple if possible. The organizer notes the event will proceed regardless of weather and that all proceeds support community and regional cancer-related assistance and care.
