Event Overview
The Palouse to Cascades Marathon+ Relay is a relay event for teams of four people. Teams can be male, female, or co-ed. It takes place on the historic Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail in Kittitas County, Washington.
Course Details
The route follows the former Milwaukee Road railroad corridor. Runners will encounter tunnels, bridges, and backcountry terrain on the trail. The course also passes through small towns and crosses two major highways.
Race Logistics
The relay begins at Kiwanis Park in Ellensburg. The first exchange point is at the Kittitas Trailhead, the second exchange returns to Kiwanis Park, and the third exchange and finish line are at the Thorpe Trailhead. A Washington State Discovery Pass is required for the event. Specific leg distances are to be announced.
Rules and Information
There is a zero-tolerance policy regarding alcohol or drug consumption on the course. Vehicle restrictions apply: no vehicles wider than 80 inches or longer than 20 feet are permitted, and motorhomes, buses, and limousines are prohibited.
