Palisades Park Triathlon and Duathlon
The event is held at Alpine Boat Basin in Bergen County, Alpine, New Jersey, with open water swim sections in the Hudson River and bike and run segments on Henry Hudson Drive. The swim is in open water; wetsuits are allowed. Lifeguards will be on duty for the swim.
Both triathlon and duathlon use the same 10 mile bike course on Henry Hudson Drive. The bike is an out and back route with a turnaround near Dyckman Hill Road and total elevation gain of over 300 ft. The final segment for both formats is an out and back 3 mile run along Henry Hudson Drive, turning at the 1.5 mile mark to return to the finish area.
Other race formats listed include team relay options and an aquabike division. Team relays require creating a team name and divide swim, bike, and run legs among team members. Registration is capped at 150 spots; the previous year had over 120 participants. Volunteers must check in before the event and sign out to receive race credit; free race credit is not transferable.
