Paint the Town Purple 5K
Matthew's Hope organizes the Paint the Town Purple 5K on October 10, 2026 in Cocoa, Florida at Matthew’s Hope, 825 Forrest Ave. The event features an individual 5K running race and supports the organization's work to foster the physical, emotional, and spiritual well being of homeless men, women, and children by meeting basic needs, developing skills, and restoring dignity and independence.
Race amenities include a race T shirt with guaranteed sizes available until September 20 and then as available, a finisher medal for the first 200 registrants, post race refreshments, and an awards presentation for age group winners. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, top masters male and female (40+), and the top three male and female in each listed age group: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
Early packet pickup is offered on Friday, October 9 at Running Zone, 3696 N. Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935. Registration opens February 1, 2026 and closes October 9, 2026.
