Event
The Pain in De Ass 5K is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Chesapeake City, Maryland. The race starts and finishes near the waters of the Chesapeake Bay at The Chesapeake Inn, 605 Second Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21915. Registration for the event opens February 1, 2026. The listed entry price is $38.60, which includes a $3.60 fee.
Course, amenities and awards
The course runs along the C & D Canal and through the town of Chesapeake City. A post-race gathering is planned on the deck of the Chesapeake Inn. Participant amenities include a finisher medal, a Pain in De Ass 5K shirt, one complimentary signature drink per participant (21+), post-race snacks, and entertainment. Street parking is available in the town.
Awards are given for Overall Male/Female and Overall Masters Male/Female, and for the top three in each age group (male and female). Age groups are: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Overall and Masters awards are based on gun time; age group awards are based on chip time.
