Event details
The Paddock Wood Half Marathon is an annual half marathon run on roads through the hop fields and orchards of Kent. The course is described as fast, flat and accurately measured. The race is sponsored by Lambert & Foster for 2025 and 2026. Facilities listed for the event include ample parking, a local train station nearby, a supervised baggage store, refreshments, a physiotherapist, full first aid cover, and chip timing for start and finish. Finishers receive a medal and a bottle of water. Free downloadable race photos are provided to entrants.
Entries, pacers and rules
The race has a participant limit of 3,000; entries on the day, if available, will be 40. Early bird entry fees (until 31 December 2025) are £28 with a competition licence and £30 without; from 1 January 2026 the fees are £33 with a licence and £35 without. Pacers are provided for a range of target times, including pacing groups from around 1:20 to 2:30. The event follows UKA rules on headphones: in-ear and over-ear headphones are banned, bone conduction headphones that do not cover the ears are allowed, and medically prescribed in-ear hearing aids should be declared to the organisers. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs or buggies. The organisers state there are no refunds, no deferrals and no name transfers.
