Paddock Wood Half Marathon : Sunday 8 March 2026
The event is a half marathon on roads through the hop fields and orchards of Kent. The organiser describes the course as fast, flat and accurate. The race has chip timing and a race limit of 3,000 entrants; the event sold out in advance in the previous year. Entries on the day, if available, are limited to 40.
Race details and facilities
Official pacers are provided for a range of target times, for example 1:20, 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30. Facilities listed for the event include ample parking, a local train station nearby, a supervised baggage store, refreshments, a physiotherapist, full first aid cover, and results available on the internet and via text immediately after the event. All finishers receive a medal and a bottle of water. Official race photos are free to download for entrants. Early bird entry fees (until 31 December 2025) are shown as £28 with a UK Athletics competition licence and £30 without; fees rise from 1 January 2026 to £33 and £35 respectively.
Safety and rules
In-ear and over-ear headphones are banned under UKA rule TR55 S5; bone conduction headphones that do not cover the ears are allowed. Medically prescribed in-ear hearing aids should be declared to race organisers before the race. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs or buggies. The organiser states there are no refunds, no deferrals and no name transfers. The race charity is the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS).
