Event
Bewl Water is a bi-annual race series organised by Hermes Running near the Bewl Water Visitor Centre in Lamberhurst, Kent. The routes follow the reservoir and use a mix of undulating rural wooded trail and some quiet country lanes. Runners have lake views for most of the route. Runners World has rated this course as one of the top 10 marathons in the U.K.

- 10 km
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)

- Ultra 50 km (31.25 miles)
Course format and measurement
The 10 km is an out-and-back route of about 3.1 miles with a well marshalled turnaround and a 2.5 hour time limit. The half marathon starts with an initial 0.6 mile anti-clockwise loop, then one 12.5 mile loop of the reservoir (6 hour time limit). The marathon includes an initial 1 mile loop followed by two 12.5 mile loops of the reservoir; organisers note the marathon is slightly longer than standard marathon distance and there is a 7 hour 9 minute limit quoted on event pages. The 50 km ultra uses two 12.5 mile loops followed by a final 6.25 mile loop (8 hour time limit). Distances were measured using a Garmin Fenix 6X Pro-Solar watch and the organisers note trail line can cause small variations in distance.
