Pacific Coast Running Festival - Long Beach Peninsula, Washington
The Pacific Coast Running Festival is a weekend event held September 26–27, 2026 on the Long Beach Peninsula. The festival includes multiple running distances, a non competitive bicycle tour, a community expo, and awards across age and special categories. Events start and finish at the Long Beach Arch and use both beach and paved routes along the peninsula and Discovery Trail.
Event distances and options:
- Kids 1/2 mile and 1 mile dashes
- 5K run/walk
- 10K run/walk
- Half Marathon
- Sand Marathon
- Sunset 5K sand run
- Tour de Pacific 12.6 mile bicycle tour
The Sand Marathon begins on Bolstad at the beach edge, turns near Beard's Hollow, proceeds toward Ocean Park, and includes aid stations along the route. The Half Marathon, 10K and 5K follow wide paved bike paths with ocean views. The Tour de Pacific is a non timed, supported bicycle tour using parts of the Discovery Trail and includes on-course refreshments and post-ride snacks. Kids races are presented as low-pressure dashes.
The weekend program also features a Health and Wellness Expo, beer and food garden, and post-race activities. Awards include top three male and female finishers, masters, age-group placings, Clydesdale and Athena divisions, and multi-event Beast medals.
