Pacific Coast Running Festival
The Pacific Coast Running Festival is a weekend event held on the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington. The festival includes multiple on-site and virtual events that run along beach and paved coastal paths with start and finish activity centered at the Long Beach Arch.
Events held over the weekend include:
- Sand Marathon
- Sunset Sand 5K
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Tour de Pacific bicycle tour (12.6 miles)
- Kids 1/2 mile and 1 mile dashes
- Virtual 5K, Virtual 10K, Virtual Half Marathon, Virtual Sunset Sand 5K
The Sand Marathon begins at Bolstad at the beach edge with a turnaround near Beard's Hollow and includes at least two aid stations along the course. The Half Marathon, 10K and 5K follow wide, paved bike paths that run along the peninsula and offer ocean views. The Tour de Pacific is a non-competitive supported bike tour that uses much of the Discovery Trail and includes water and snack stations.
The weekend program also features a Health and Wellness Expo, a food and beer garden, packet pickup on site, and awards for top finishers and age group placings. Participants can earn special multi-event medals for completing multiple races during the weekend. The festival names the South Pacific County Humane Society as a beneficiary and supports local school sports programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
