Astoria's Run on the River Half Marathon

Event Information
The Astoria's Run on the River event offers three distances: a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. It is scheduled for May 30, 2026.
The start and finish location for all races is the Fort George Beer Pier at 70 West Marine Drive in Astoria, Oregon. The course runs along the Astoria Riverwalk. It is not a closed course, so participants may share the path with other runners, walkers, cyclists, dogs, and strollers. The route includes sections across trestles, uneven surfaces, and trolley tracks, which can be slippery when wet.
Aid stations with water and snacks from sponsors will be available along the entire half marathon route, which also covers the 10K and 5K courses. A Kids Fun Run will start shortly after the 5K begins.
Parking is limited on nearby streets. Participants can park in the DHS parking lot at 450 Marine Drive. Carpooling or walking to the event is advised. There is no gear check service.
Registration and Perks
Registration includes a locally made stamped glass finisher's medal and a beverage from the sponsor, Fort George Brewery. An after-party sponsored by Fort George Brewery follows the run.
Proceeds from the event fund swimming lessons, scholarships for Astoria Parks and Recreation youth programs, and other community initiatives. The organizer is the Astoria Parks, Recreation, & Community Foundation.
Awards
For the half marathon, the overall first-place male and female finishers each receive $200, second place receives $100, and third place receives $50. For the 10K and 5K, the overall first, second, and third place male and female finishers each receive a gift certificate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
