2026 Oyster Bay Brewing Company 5K
The Oyster Bay Brewing Company 5K is a community sports event held in Oyster Bay, New York. The event serves as a benefit for the Matthew Fetzer Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting children with cancer. Participants are encouraged to bring a donation of a new toy or a gift card for children battling the disease.
The event features two primary distances:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- Kids Fun Run
The 5 km course begins and ends in the back parking lot of the Oyster Bay Brewing Company. The route traverses several local streets, including Audrey Avenue, Shore Avenue, and East Main Street, with two U-turn points located at Larrabee Avenue and Cove Road. The Kids Fun Run is held entirely within the parking lot area and is untimed. Due to the nature of the course, roller blades, skates, bicycles, baby joggers, strollers, and pets are not permitted.
Registered participants over the age of 21 receive one beer. Amenities provided to entrants include raffles, refreshments, and a t-shirt. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three male and female finishers in age groups ranging from 12 and under to 80 and over.
