Event Overview

The Oy Vey 5K Run/Walk and 1m Fun Walk is the 12th annual edition of this event. The event supports the educational programs at the Seaside Jewish Community. It is produced by Seashore Strider Event Production Inc. and hosted at the Seaside Jewish Community Center.

Course & Logistics

The 5k course is described as fast and flat, taking place on the JB Trail in Cape Henlopen State Park. There is a water stop at the start, finish, and near the halfway point of the course. Parking is noted as plentiful at the Rehoboth LL Field next to the community center on Glade Road.

Packet pickup on race day is scheduled from 7:30 AM to 8:50 AM. A packet pickup the day before will only occur if pre-registration exceeds 200 participants.

Awards & Amenities

For the 5k, custom awards are given to Overall, Master, and the top three finishers in ten age groups, ranging from 9 & under to 80+. A short-sleeve technical shirt is listed as the race amenity for 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
