The Owensboro Memorial Day Run to Remember is held on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026. The purpose is to honor and remember Americans who lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces.
Events and Activities
The event includes several participation options:
- 5K / Memorial Walk for $30, which includes a T-shirt.
- Kids Fun Run for Little Warriors for $5, with participation medals for children aged 10 and under.
- A 1 Mile event.
- A 5K Ruck event.
The schedule includes day-of registration, a pre-race warm-up, opening ceremonies, and the running and walking events. Participants in the walk and the Veterans Empowered Together (V.E.T.) Ruck assist in carrying an American flag down Veterans Boulevard. The event is connected to a separate 10 Mile Ruck March.
