OUTLAST NEW ORLEANS
OUTLAST New Orleans is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge held in Mandeville, LA (62883 LA-1089) on 02/13/2027. Participants run a 5K loop once each hour for six rounds; completing all six laps equals 18 miles. Each lap must be finished within the hour to continue in the event; missing a lap removes the runner from further rounds. If a runner finishes a lap early, they may rest before the next start.
Courses are trail-based with natural terrain, elevation changes, and unpredictable conditions; some sections may include pavement or gravel. There is time between rounds for recovery, refueling, and preparation.
On-course support includes water, basic hydration, and snacks at the basecamp/loop start. This is a cupless event, so runners are expected to use their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up personal aid tents at the venue.
Awards and recognition are tiered: completing four laps earns a “Grit Earned” patch, five laps earns a “Survivor” patch, and completing all six laps earns a premium OUTLAST medal. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Local winners are determined by fastest combined 5K times; finishers are ranked on a national leaderboard with a $1,000 prize for the overall National Champion.
