Event overview
OUTLAST New Orleans is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge held on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Participants run a 5K lap each hour for up to six rounds. Each lap must be completed within the hour to continue; missing a lap ends a participant's event. Runners who complete four laps earn a bronze leather patch, five laps earn a silver leather patch, and six laps earn a wooden OUTLAST medal. All participants receive an OUTLAST T-shirt and sticker. Top male and female finishers at the event are determined by the fastest combined time across all six 5K laps.
Location, course and logistics
The event takes place at Fontainebleau State Park, 62883 LA-1089, Mandeville, LA 70448. Courses are trail-based with natural terrain, including dirt, rocks, roots and elevation; some sections may include pavement or gravel. The event is cupless - basecamp/loop start will provide water, basic hydration, and snacks, but runners should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Tent or personal aid station setups are permitted. The day 6-hour event is listed as sold out; a Night Edition is also offered with separate pricing tiers.
