Towne Bank Outer Banks Marathon & Half Marathon : November 6-8, 2026

The OBX Towne Bank Marathon is the oldest continuously running road race in the Outer Banks. The weekend program spans multiple race distances and runs across the islands of the Outer Banks, with course sections described as fast and flat and offering natural coastal scenery.

Event features include a two-day sports and fitness expo where packet pick up occurs before race day. Participants receive a race t-shirt and finisher items. Spectators line the course and a post-race celebration includes live music, entertainment, complimentary southern barbecue for runners, and a beer garden for those 21 plus.

The weekend also includes family-friendly activities alongside the races. Retired and active duty military members are eligible for a 10 percent discount. Strollers and pets are not allowed.
