Ouray Mountain Trail Run
The Ouray Mountain Trail Run is a 13 mile mountain trail race held in Ouray, Colorado, with the course starting and ending at Fellin Park. The event is a fundraiser for the Ouray School and is hosted by the Parent and Teacher Organization and the high school Outdoor Education class.
Race operations include packet pickup at Fellin Park on the Friday evening before the race and on the morning of the event. There are no day of registrations. The organizers plan a cupless approach with three water stations offering a limited number of cups, so participants are expected to carry their own water. A first aid station is located about 5 miles into the course and a second aid station is located at approximately 7 miles; all runners must reach the second aid station within three hours.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers. Outdoor Research t shirts are provided to runners, though requested sizes are not guaranteed after August 1, 2025. Entry fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable; fees will not be refunded if the race is canceled for weather, governmental reasons, or a pandemic.
