Ouray Mountain Trail Run
The Ouray Mountain Trail Run is a 13-mile mountain trail event in Ouray, Colorado. The course starts and ends at Fellin Park and is organized as a fundraiser for the Ouray School. The event is hosted by the school's Parent and Teacher Organization and the high school Outdoor Education class, and proceeds support student educational trips to locations such as Moab, Denver, Washington DC and Mexico.
Packet pickup is available at Fellin Park on Friday, September 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM and on the morning of the race before the start; there are no day-of registrations. Registration closes on Wednesday, September 16 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. The race is intended to be cupless; there will be three water stations with limited cups, so participants are asked to carry their own water.
A first aid station is located about 5 miles into the course and a second aid station is at approximately 7 miles. All runners must reach the second aid station within three hours. Awards will be presented to the top three male and top three female finishers.
Entry fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable, including in the event of cancellation for weather, governmental reasons, or a pandemic. An optional athletic shirt by Outdoor Research is offered; availability of selected sizes can only be guaranteed for registrations completed before August 1. Ouray County students and school staff may participate for free; the free entry does not include the race shirt, which may be purchased separately.
