Ouray Mountain Trail Run - Ouray, Colorado (September 19, 2026)
The Ouray Mountain Trail Run is a 13-mile mountain race that starts and finishes at Fellin Park in Ouray, Colorado. The event is a fundraiser for the Ouray School, organized by the Parent and Teacher Organization and the high school Outdoor Education class. Proceeds support student educational trips to destinations such as Moab, Denver, Washington DC, and Mexico.
Packet pickup is available at Fellin Park on Friday, September 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM and on race morning from 6:30 to 7:15 AM. Registration closes September 16 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time; there are no day-of registrations.
The race is intended to be cupless and will have three water stations with limited cups, so participants are advised to carry their own water. A first aid station is located five miles into the course; a second aid station is at approximately seven miles, and all runners must reach that point within three hours. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers.
Entry fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable, including in the event of cancellation for weather, government action, or a pandemic. An optional Outdoor Research athletic race shirt is available for purchase; selected sizes can be guaranteed only for registrations completed before August 1. Ouray County students and school staff may participate free of charge and should contact the event organizers to register. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
