Ouray Mountain Trail Run - Ouray, CO
The Ouray Mountain Trail Run is a 13 mile trail race held in Ouray, Colorado on September 19, 2026. The course starts and finishes at Fellin Park and is organized as a fundraiser for the Ouray School, hosted by the school's Parent and Teacher Organization and the high school Outdoor Education class. Proceeds support student educational trips.
Registration options include an Outdoor Research race shirt for $90 or registration without a shirt for $70. Registration closes on September 16 at 11:59 PM MT and there are no day of race registrations. Shirt availability by size is guaranteed only for registrations completed before August 1. Ouray County students and school staff may participate free of charge; they must contact the organizers to obtain a coupon code. The race shirt is not included for free participants but may be purchased for $20.
Packet pickup is available at Fellin Park on the evening before the race and on race morning. The event plans three water stations with limited cups, so participants are encouraged to carry their own water. A first aid station is located about 5 miles into the course; all runners must reach the second aid station, at approximately 7 miles, within 3 hours. Awards will be presented to the top three male and top three female finishers. Entry fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
