Event Overview

The Telluride Foundation, in partnership with the Peter Inglis Avalanche Education Fund, hosts the Skidola. This is the sixth annual winter uphill race in Telluride. It is an open-registration, on-snow race that goes from the Town of Telluride to the San Sophia Ridge.

Participation and Equipment

Competitors can use several types of equipment:

  • Men on Skis/Splitboards with Skins
  • Women on Skis/Splitboards with Skins
  • Men on Microspikes/Snowshoes
  • Women on Microspikes/Snowshoes

All participants will receive Skidola swag. Prizes are awarded for the top male and female finishers, the best costume, and the middle-place racer. The event is described as family-friendly.

Registration and Charity

All proceeds from the event benefit the Peter Inglis Avalanche Education Fund. The fund's mission is to expand avalanche education and backcountry user awareness in the San Juan Mountains. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
