Otway Trail Run
The AKD Otway Trail Run takes place along the Old Beechy Rail Trail in the Otway Ranges, between Barongarook and Gellibrand. Both a timed trail event and a community walk are organised, with all routes finishing at Gellibrand Hall.

- 16 km trail run, timed
- 6.3 km trail run, timed
- 6.3 km community walk, not timed; U10 free with parent or guardian
The 16 km route begins near Barongarook and descends through cool bush to Birnam Station, includes one steep ascent, then traverses undulating bush and pastoral sections toward Kawarren before finishing in Gellibrand. Kawarren is also the start location for the 6.3 km options.
Event logistics note water is available at both start lines and there are drink stations located at approximately 5 km and 10 km along the course. Drinks will also be available at the finish. Bags for personal belongings will be collected at the start areas and transported to Gellibrand; participants are asked not to leave valuables. Race timing is provided by Tomato Timing with results published online. Parking is available at Barongarook, Kawarren and Gellibrand, and free shuttle buses are provided with departure times to be confirmed.
Entry fees are listed per distance: 16 km $60 (16 years and over), 6.3 km run $50, 6.3 km walk $40, plus an additional fee for race day registrations. Entry fees contribute to the Colac Area Health Foundation Wellness Centre Appeal and Rotary youth and community programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
