Ghost 'n Goblin 5k
The Ghost 'n Goblin 5k takes place Tuesday, October 27 in Centerville, Ohio. The event is presented by the Ohio River Road Runners Club and uses Sinclair Community College at 5800 Clyo Road as the primary venue and packet pickup location.
The race distance is 5k. Registration prices listed for 2026 are: Oct 1 - Oct 26 adults $36 and ages 10 and under $33, with a Race Day price of $40 for all ages. A registration processing fee is added separately at checkout. Shirt availability and sizes are guaranteed only for participants who register by October 13; adult sizes run XS to 4XL and youth sizes run Youth S to Youth XL. Unworn shirt exchanges may be possible at packet pickup.
The event donates part of proceeds to local school running programs through a Youth Running Challenge. Participants select a school district at registration; three finishers are selected at random and the schools they chose receive up to $500. A fourth donation is planned for the school or group with the most volunteers.
Additional event features include a costume contest held shortly before the race, post race pizza and snacks, many raffle prizes including a bike tradition, and age group awards for top three finishers. The race uses three wave starts and disposable timing chips on the back of bibs. Strollers are discouraged, only service dogs are permitted, and headphones are strongly discouraged. Results are posted online after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
