Oro Valley Triathlon and Duathlon Festival
The Oro Valley Triathlon and Duathlon Festival takes place on Saturday March 14, 2026 in Oro Valley, Arizona at 23 W. Calle Concordia near the Oro Valley Aquatics Center. The program includes multiple race formats such as intermediate and sprint triathlons, relay divisions, a sprint aquabike, sprint duathlon, sprint duathlon relay, and a beginner noncompetitive triathlon.
The swim is conducted in the Aquatics Center pool set to long course with a serpentine swim pattern. The bike course is coned off from general traffic and provides one dedicated car lane and one bike lane for participants; the route includes several fast downhills and a few short uphills. The run course is described as flat and consists of loops; duathlon participants complete one run loop before the bike and two loops after the bike.
This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Electronic audio devices such as MP3 players and cell phones are not allowed on course except approved timing or sport devices. Helmets must meet Consumer Product Safety Commission standards and the chin strap must be fastened before mounting and remain fastened until the bike is racked. Athletes must stay to the right of course cones and have their bike number displayed; violations can result in disqualification.
Timing chips require a bib number at pickup. Transition areas are in the parking lot east of the pool and include marked mount and dismount lines. No refunds are offered, but entries may be deferred up to one year on a sliding scale. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations received by February 15, 2026. Parking is available west of the Aquatics Center, at Canyon Del Oro High School, and behind James D. Kreigh Park. Awards are presented near the finish and will not be mailed.
