Orcas Island Triathlon - Olga, WA
The Orcas Island Triathlon is scheduled for June 7, 2026 at Cascade Lake Beach in Olga, Washington. The event offers multiple individual and relay distance options that combine open-water swimming in Cascade Lake, on-road biking around the lake, and running around the lake.
Available distances:
- Super Sprint: 1/4 mile swim, 12 mile bike, 2.6 mile run
- Sprint: 1/2 mile swim, 24.8 mile bike, 5.2 mile run
- Relay Super Sprint: 1/4 mile swim, 12 mile bike, 2.6 mile run
- Relay Sprint: 1/2 mile swim, 24.8 mile bike, 5.2 mile run
- Splash n Dash (age 7-15): 0.1 mile swim, 1.5 mile run
Participants receive six recorded times: swim, bike, run, two transition times, and overall. Competitors must wear an ankle bracelet for all three legs and display the bib on the front torso during the bike and the run. Athletes must pass between two red cones to be scored. Stickers must be placed on helmet and bike to exit the secure corral area.
On-site services include certified lifeguards on kayaks, aid stations with water, Gatorade, first aid, and gel approximately every three miles, and ample parking at the race site. Wetsuits are allowed if water temperatures are below 85F. A pre-race mandatory briefing is scheduled for June 4 and will be recorded. Pre-race packet pickup and a pasta feed are scheduled for June 6. All finishers receive a medal and all entrants receive a deluxe event T-shirt. In emergencies, dial 911; the race director is the on-site contact for mechanical issues or minor injuries.
