Orcas Island 50K & 25K

The Orcas Island races take place on trails around Doe Bay Resort and Moran State Park on Orcas Island, WA on June 6 and 7, 2026. The event offers three options: a 50K, a 25K, and a combined Double (75K) over the weekend.

  • 50K: 7,200 ft elevation, 4 aid stations, 12 hour cutoff
  • 25K: 4,300 ft elevation, 2 aid stations, 8 hour cutoff
  • Double (75K): 11,500 ft elevation, 6 aid stations, 20 hour cutoff

Courses are mostly single track and move through old-growth forest with sections that are smooth and fast as well as rooty, rocky, and occasionally muddy. Runners will encounter about half a mile of paved road at the start and again at the finish, and the route provides views of surrounding islands, mountains, and Puget Sound. Course markings include yellow and black arrow signs at junctions and pink and black checkered ribbons about every half mile.

Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit, chips, pickles, cookies or candy, and some GU gels. Runners may leave one labeled drop bag per aid station; bags are transported to aid stations and returned to the finish. Parking at Doe Bay is available for on-site reservations; field camping uses off-site parking with a short shuttle. Organizers request participants avoid accessing Moran State Park trails from Doe Bay outside the permitted race weekend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
