About the race
Fitness Within presents the fourth annual Operation Run To Heal 5K on October 17, 2026, at Memorial Park, 53 Harrison Street, Reading, MA. The event raises funds for the Green Beret Foundation and its support programs for Green Berets, their families, and Gold Star Families.
The in-person event features a chip-timed 5K, an official race shirt, a limited-edition dog tag finisher medal, and a complimentary beer ticket for registered participants age 21 and over (ID required at packet pickup). A post-race beer garden celebration at Reading Common will include local brews, food, music, and family-friendly activities; alcoholic beverages are available only to guests age 21 and over with valid ID. A virtual 5K option is also offered; virtual finishers receive the limited-edition dog tag finisher medal and free shipping.
Race-day packet pickup and same-day registration are available at Memorial Park, and additional packet pickup is available the day before at Fitness Within. Team registrations are supported, with a $5 discount applied per runner who joins a team; teams may represent gyms, studios, workplaces, or community groups.
Event logistics note available parking on nearby streets and municipal lots, and traffic restrictions on Harrison Avenue between Charles Street and Orange Street during the event.
