One Flag Forward - Sparks, NV
The Sparks gathering for One Flag Forward is scheduled for September 12, 2026, at 300 Howard Dr, Sparks, NV 89434. It is one local stop in a five-day relay that will carry a single American flag roughly 250 miles from New York City to Washington, D.C. Participants in the relay include Gold Star and surviving family members, veterans, service members, military family members, and civilian supporters; the relay reports representation from every branch of the United States Armed Forces.
The Sparks program includes a ceremony with a local speaker, a national anthem singer, and a presentation of the colors, followed by a Circle of Remembrance and a 2.5-mile walk held in recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. A social gathering is scheduled after the walk. Registration for the community run/walk lists no registration fee.
