On Your Bookmark...GO! at E.D. Locke Public Library
On Your Bookmark...GO! is the E.D. Locke Public Library's 5th annual series of run and walk events held in Mc Farland, WI. The program includes in-person and virtual choices and supports library programming with event proceeds.
Event options include a mix of youth and adult distances:
- 5K in-person
- 5K virtual
- 0.33 miles Kids' Obstacle Dash
- 0.25 miles Kids' Obstacle Dash with 1/4 mile run
The Kids' Obstacle Dash is described as an untimed, playful course for very young children and includes bubbles, cones, limbo, and similar activities. One kids option is for ages 2 to 4 and focuses on the obstacle dash only. A second kids option adds a 1/4 mile run around the library before finishing with the obstacle lap and is noted as ideal for ages 4 and up. Parents may join these kids events at no additional cost. Registered youth participants receive a hat and a medal.
The in-person 5K allows running, walking, strolling, or dancing and permits strollers and dogs. In-person 5K participants receive a baseball hat, a bib, and professional timing. Virtual 5K participants may run or walk anywhere and can pick up their hat and bib during packet pick up or after the event at the library. Registration fees are listed for each event class.
