On the Run Half Marathon
The On the Run Half Marathon is a USATF-certified 13.1 miles road race based at the Brunswick Hotel in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. The certified course (ME19001BK) follows West Grand Avenue, Ferry Road, Bayview Road, Sea View Road, Pine Point Road, King Street, Ave #3, Jones Creek Road and East Grand Avenue before returning to the hotel.
Water stops are located at miles 2.5, 5.5, 7.5 and 9.5. Display clocks are provided at 5K and 10K, and mile markers are posted for miles 1 through 13 plus 5K and 10K markers. All finishers receive a custom finisher’s medal and a custom race bib; the first 100 finishers receive a custom magnet. Long sleeve technical shirts are available for an extra fee; shirts must be pre-registered by 03/03/26 and none will be sold on race day.
Race-day registration and packet pick-up occur at the Brunswick Hotel. Post-race food for runners includes mac and cheese and salad; family and friends may purchase food on race day for a fee. A cash bar is available after 10:30 AM. Parking on race day is free on 1st Street between Old Orchard Street and Heath Street.
Awards are given to the top three overall men and women and to age-group places through 70–99. Course records listed include a men's record of 1:09:52 and a women's record of 1:19:25. If the race is cancelled for extreme weather or other conditions beyond control, there are no refunds. Race management is provided by 5K Sports Race Management.
