Memorial 5K
The 3rd annual Strength and Shield Scholarship memorial 5K is scheduled for February 27, 2027 at Harrison High School, 4500 Due West Rd NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152. The event uses Harrison High School for the start and finish and is organized as a memorial run that supports the named scholarship.
Multiple registration options are available: an in-person 5K with a short sleeve race shirt, an in-person 5K without a shirt, a virtual 5K where participants may run anywhere and submit results for a mailed shirt, and a 5K entry priced for participants under 18. Registration opens July 1, 2026. Registration deadlines vary by option: the main in-person entries close February 18, 2027, the under 18 entry closes February 26, 2027, and virtual registration remains open through February 27, 2027. Listed registration fees are $35 for the standard 5K, $30 for the no-shirt option, $35 for the virtual 5K, and $25 for the under 18 entry.
Short sleeve race shirts are offered to registered participants unless the no-shirt option is selected. Awards are planned for overall winners and standard age-group categories.
