OLA Run to Church 5K and Fun Run : Brookhaven, GA
The OLA Run to Church is the 4th annual community race held at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1350 Hearst Drive Northeast, Brookhaven, on August 29, 2026. Proceeds benefit OLA’s St. Vincent de Paul Society, a Christian outreach ministry that provides financial assistance to neighbors in need. The event also marks the 75th anniversary of the church.
The program includes:
- 5K chip-timed race on a USATF-certified course starting and finishing in the OLA church parking lot. The 5K is an out-and-back course with a turnaround and water station at Finistere Court; mile markers will be posted.
- Fun Run that starts and finishes in the church parking lot and follows Hearst Drive, Lanier Drive, a U-turn at Windsor Parkway, then back on Lanier Drive.
Races are family-friendly; strollers are permitted and dogs are not allowed. An awards ceremony and post-race festivities follow the races, with a kids’ area, refreshments, and giveaways from sponsors.
Packet pick-up is available Friday, August 28, 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Moylan Hall (1350 Hearst Drive) and on race day Saturday morning. Award categories include age-group placements for the 5K and youth awards for the Fun Run. Registrations received by August 15 are guaranteed a T-shirt size; shirts are available while supplies last.
