OLA Run to Church 5K and Fun Run
The OLA Run to Church 5K and Fun Run is the 4th annual community race held at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Brookhaven, Georgia on August 29, 2026. Net proceeds will benefit OLA’s St. Vincent de Paul Society, a Christian outreach ministry that provides financial assistance to neighbors in need.

The certified 5K is an out-and-back measured by a professional. It starts and finishes in the church parking lot, with a turnaround and a water station at Finistere Court and mile markers posted along the route. The Fun Run also starts and finishes in the church parking lot and follows a short loop along Hearst Drive, Lanier Drive, and Windsor Parkway.
The event is described as family friendly and welcomes runners and walkers of all ages. Strollers are allowed to be pushed on course; dogs are not permitted. Award categories include overall male and female, masters male and female, and age group awards for the 5K, while the Fun Run has awards for top boys and girls ages 10 and under.
Packet pick up is available early at Moylan Hall and also at the church on race day. An awards ceremony and post race festivities will include a kids area, refreshments, and sponsor giveaways.
