OLA Run to Church 5K and Fun Run
The event takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1350 Hearst Drive Northeast, Brookhaven, GA. Proceeds benefit OLA’s St. Vincent de Paul Society, a Christian outreach ministry that provides financial assistance to neighbors in need. The event also marks the 75th anniversary of the church.
Distances
- 5K: chip-timed USATF-certified course, starts and finishes in the church parking lot.
- Fun Run: short neighborhood loop starting and finishing in the church parking lot.
The 5K is an out-and-back course with the turnaround and a water station at Finistere Court; mile markers are posted. The Fun Run route turns up Hearst Drive, right onto Lanier Drive, makes a U-turn at Windsor Parkway, and returns on Lanier Drive. Strollers are allowed; dogs are not permitted.
Awards and activities include an awards ceremony, a kids area, refreshments, and sponsor giveaways. 5K awards cover overall male and female, masters male and female, and age-group awards through 70 plus. Fun Run awards include 1st through 3rd boy and girl for ages 10 and under.
Packet pick-up is available Friday, August 28, 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Moylan Hall, OLA Catholic Church, 1350 Hearst Drive, Brookhaven. Race day packet pick-up is also available at the church. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
