Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5K : Asheville, NC
The Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Asheville, North Carolina on October 3, 2026. The event starts and finishes at Hi-Wire Brewing’s River Arts District Beer Garden, 284 Lyman St, and is capped at 1,000 runners.
The course runs through the River Arts District and nearby roads in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Both the half marathon and 5K courses are USATF certified. Organizers rebuilt the route in 2025 after flood damage to the River Arts District in 2024; the course is described as flat and intended for fast times. Finishers can expect a post-race beverage option from Hi-Wire, with a beer for entrants 21+ or a nonalcoholic alternative.
