Event Overview
The Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5k is a running event held in Asheville, North Carolina. The physical races start and finish at the Hi-Wire Brewing RAD Beer Garden & Distribution Center on Lyman Street. The event also offers a virtual running option.

Participants can choose from two main distances:
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- 5k (5 km)
Registration Details
Registration is tiered, with prices increasing at set dates. An early packet pickup is available the day before the race, and race day packet pickup opens at 6:15 AM. A group discount of 10% is offered for five or more people registered in a single transaction.
What's Included
The registration fee for the in-person races includes several items:
- A technical t-shirt.
- A custom race bib.
- A finisher medal.
- A post-race beverage.
- Chip timing.
Virtual registrants receive the shirt, bib, and medal by mail after the race but are not eligible for awards.
Course & Timing
Both the Half Marathon and 5k courses are USATF certified. The Half Marathon has a 3-hour limit for course aid, while the 5k has a 1-hour limit for course aid.
Policies
The event has a no-refund policy. In the case of inclement weather, a postponement date is planned for October 24, 2026. Transfers to another runner, a different distance, or to the virtual option are allowed until September 29, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
