Event overview
The Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5K is scheduled for October 3, 2026, in Asheville, North Carolina. The race starts and finishes at Hi-Wire Brewing’s River Arts District Beer Garden, 284 Lyman St. The event offers these distances:

Both courses are USATF certified. New courses were plotted in 2025 after damage to the River Arts District in 2024, when flooding covered much of the original course.
Race features and amenities
Race entry includes a finisher medal for both distances, professional chip timing, a short-sleeved technical t-shirt, a collectible race bib, and one Hi-Wire beer (Leisure Time Lager) or a non-alcoholic option for participants aged 21 and over. The 5k includes costume awards and middle-of-the-pack awards. The event is organized by Kick It Event Management and lists several non-profit partners and local sponsors.
