The Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5k is scheduled for October 3, 2026 in Asheville, North Carolina. The start and finish are at Hi-Wire Brewing’s River Arts District Beer Garden, 284 Lyman St. Both the half marathon and 5k courses are USATF certified. New course layouts were plotted in 2025 after damage to the River Arts District in 2024. Hi-Wire Brewing is listed as a sponsor.
Included with entry are a finisher medal, a short-sleeved technical t-shirt, a collectible race bib, professional chip timing, and a post-race beverage (Hi-Wire beer for 21+ or a non-alcoholic option). The half marathon course has a three hour course aid limit and the 5k has a one hour course aid limit.

Registration and policies
Registration opens November 1. A virtual option is available; virtual entrants receive mailed race shirt, bib, and finisher medal but are not eligible for awards. Group registrations of five or more people in the same transaction receive a 10% discount. Transfers to another runner, a different distance, or to virtual entry are allowed through September 29, 2026; transfers during packet pick up require a form. The event has a no refund policy and does not allow deferrals. A planned postponement date is listed as October 24, 2026. Packet pick up is offered the day before and on race day.
