About the race
The Oktoberfest races in Mount Angel include a 5 km run/walk and a 10 km run, organized by the Silverton Runners Club and Oktoberfest. The start and finish are on the Kennedy High School track. The course passes through the hamlet of Mt. Angel, includes gravel sections, is mostly flat with a couple of hills, and the 10 km course will be new this year.
Registration fees vary by period: for the 5 km, $30 (early), $35 (later), $45 on the day before or day of the race; for the 10 km, $35 (early), $40 (later), $50 on the day before or day of the race. T-shirts are available for $15 while supplies last. There are no refunds; entries may be transferred to next year for the same distance. Packet pick-up and day of registration take place at the Kennedy High School track on race day. Day of registration accepts checks or phone payment via QR code. Strollers are allowed but must line up at the back. Dogs are not permitted to run in the races. 10 km entrants should maintain at least a 15:00 per mile pace. Every finisher receives a pint glass and a ticket for a complimentary beer at the Oktoberfest.
