Okefenokee Swamp Run
The Okefenokee Swamp Run takes place on March 14, 2026, at Okefenokee Swamp Park, 5700 Okefenokee Swamp Park Rd, Waycross, GA 31503. This is the 48th annual Swamp Run and is described as one of the second oldest continuous races in South Georgia. Entry fees listed for the event are $35 and $15 for the shorter distance.

Course, logistics and awards
The course is mostly dirt on forest service roads through the park and Dixon Memorial State Forest. The route uses the paved Swamp Park Road and dirt service roads wide enough for ATVs and cars; conditions may include water and mud depending on rain. The start and finish are inside Okefenokee Swamp Park, which has indoor bathrooms.
Packet pickup is at the Okefenokee Swamp Annex building, 5700 Okefenokee Swamp Park Rd. Proceeds benefit the Okefenokee Swamp Park, a 501c3 organization. Each participant receives a free park pass for race day (noted as normally costing $18) and a performance t-shirt. Awards include top 1 male and female overall and masters (40+), plus top 3 in 10-year age groups (last age group 70+).
