Course, facilities and awards
The course is mostly dirt and uses forest service roads through the area around the park and Dixon Memorial State Forest. The start and finish are inside Okefenokee Swamp Park and the site has indoor restrooms. The route begins on the paved Swamp Park Road, turns onto dirt forest service roads, and returns to the paved road for the finish. Service roads are described as wide enough for ATVs and cars; sections may contain water and mud depending on rain.
Each participant receives a free day pass to enter the Swamp Park (noted as normally costing $18) and a performance t-shirt. Awards include top 1 male and female finishers for overall and masters (40+), and top 3 in 10-year age groups through 70+. The race is hosted by Okefenokee Swamp Park and co-hosted by the Okefenokee Track & Cycling Club and the Golden Isles Track Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
