FCA Splash, Mash & Dash Triathlon & Duathlon
The FCA Splash, Mash & Dash is a multi-event race held at Laura Walker State Park in Waycross, Georgia. The event combines lake swimming, an out-and-back bike course, and a shaded, flat run route with an aid station at the turnaround. The swim exits directly into transition before the bike leg.
Multiple competition options are offered, including triathlon, duathlon (run, bike, run), and aquabike. Event categories listed for competition include Age Group, Athena, Clydesdale, Fat Tire, Military/LEO/PSO, Novice, Physically Challenged, and several relay team divisions for both triathlon and duathlon.
Awards are presented for overall male and female, overall masters (40+), and age-group awards with three deep in five-year age bands from youth through older age groups. Specialty awards include Clydesdale, Athena, Fat Tire, novice, military and public safety classifications, physically challenged divisions, and relay team prizes for two- to three-member teams.
Event logistics noted by the organizer include early packet pickup at a nearby Fairfield Inn & Suites, a $5 park fee payable on race day, and a custom event shirt for participants. Post-race provisions include food and music at a post-race gathering. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
