Swamp Classic 5K
The Swamp Classic 5K is the seventh annual event held in Waycross, Georgia, on April 18, 2026. Both the 5K Run/Walk and the 1 Mile Fun Run begin and end at Swamp Road Baptist Church (4490 Swamp Road). Parking is available at the church and restrooms are accessible inside the building.
Course details note that both routes turn right when leaving the church parking lot and run along Swamp Road. The 5K includes a water station at its halfway point. The start and finish area will be marked in front of the church by a large blue inflatable.
Registration options include online registration that closes April 15 and in-person registration the morning of the race; day-of registration is cash only. Pre-registration by April 4 guarantees an event shirt. Entry fees listed are $25 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 Mile Fun Run.
An awards ceremony will follow the 5K. Finishers receive a slip to take to the Timekeeper tent to record name, age, gender, and time for results. There will be age-group awards and overall male and overall female awards.
The event is partnering again with Rebuilding Together. The recipient for 2026 will be announced in April. Organizers note COVID precautions such as optional mask use and social distancing at registration and after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
