Oilman Texas Triathlon
The 23rd Annual Oilman Texas Triathlon takes place November 14–15, 2026 at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas. The event weekend includes a half distance triathlon, a sprint distance, relays, aquabike, a paratriathlon division, a standalone 5K, and youth duathlon/triathlon races.
The half distance course starts and finishes at the resort and includes a 1.2 mile swim in Lake Conroe, a 56 mile bike through Montgomery County and the National Forest, and a 13.1 mile run that uses two loops on the golf course and nearby neighborhood. The Aquabike division includes only the swim and bike portions. Relay teams may be two or three people and are offered in male, female, and coed divisions. Clydesdale and Athena divisions use weight categories for entry eligibility.
Saturday features the 5K and youth duathlon races that use roads and golf cart paths near the resort. Youth race distances and age groups are published for the Parakeets (ages 5 to 10) and Parrots (ages 11 to 15). Some events require participants to be 18 or older. A resort pool event called the 5 O'Clock Somewhere Fun Tri is available to resort guests and day pass holders; the Landshark finish party is open to the public but participation in the pool event requires resort access.
