Event

The Bernhardt Wine Run 5k takes place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Bernhardt Winery, 9043 County Rd 204, Plantersville, TX 77363. The event is a chip-timed 5k run/walk, timed and scored by J3 Timing with results posted online at J3Timing.com. The official course map will be posted by the organizer.

Registration and logistics

Registration includes a super-soft ring spun cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a bottle stopper, a chip-timed race bib, and a pour of wine. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but not a wine glass or wine pour. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event.

A virtual participation option is available; packets can be shipped for an additional $10 shipping and handling fee or participants may pick up their packet and run on their own. Registration pricing and deadlines are posted on the event registration page and may change; the site notes prices may increase after December 6, 2025.

Awards and partner

Age group awards are offered for top finishers, scored in 10-year age categories (examples listed include 1-9, 10-19, up to 80+). The local charity partner for the event is Grimes County Animal Rescue, a 501(c)(3) no-kill animal shelter. Free race photos will be available for download.
