OH!lly Trail 5K
The OH!lly Trail 5K is a trail running event held on single-track trails behind Zehmer Hall on the University of Virginia Grounds in Charlottesville. The route covers roughly 3.1 miles; GPS devices and maps may not show the exact distance. The course has a substantial amount of climbing and descending, with some steep uphills that may require hiking or power hiking. A named section of the route is the "Powerlines."
The terrain is technical with knotty roots, rocks, and leaf cover, so runners need to watch footing rather than treat it like a road run. The course is entirely on trails with no roads. Timing and bibs are provided and prizes are awarded to top finishers. Parking is limited at Zehmer Hall; additional parking is located in the Facilities Management lot off Alderman Road near St. Thomas Catholic Church.
