Ohio Swiss Festival Cheese Chase, Sugarcreek OH
The Ohio Swiss Festival Cheese Chase is an annual set of running events held in the Village of Sugarcreek on October 3, 2026. The race takes place in front of the Sugarcreek Fire Department at 154 Broadway Street, Sugarcreek, OH 44681.
Distances offered include:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run / Health Walk (untimed)
Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before near the pavilion, with additional packet pickup and race day registration on the day of the event. All participants receive a medal. T-shirt options include Youth Small to Large and Adult X-Small to 3X-Large, plus a No T-Shirt option with a $5 discount; T-shirts are limited after August 31.
Awards for the 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk include medallions and cheese for the top three male and female overall finishers, plus top three male and female finishers in each age group: 12 & Under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & Over.
The race is part of the Ohio Swiss Festival, held the fourth weekend after Labor Day in Tuscarawas County. Festival activities include Swiss-related displays and a Grande Parade, and the village is noted as being eight miles from Interstate 77.
