OHEF Family Fun Run
The Oak Harbor Educational Foundation presents a family fun run at Windjammer Park in Oak Harbor, WA. The event is a fundraiser for the foundation and supports scholarships and school programs within the Oak Harbor School District.

Student runs are organized within Windjammer Park and include age recommendations: the 1/2 mile is recommended for children age 7 and under, and the 1-mile is recommended for children age 8 and up. All children should be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers will help monitor the 1/2 mile and 1-mile routes, and at least one adult should be present at the start and finish for each student participant.
The 5K course follows the waterfront from Windjammer Park along the harbor to Bayshore Drive and Pioneer Way, out to the marina turnaround, and back to Windjammer Park. The 5K is a non-chipped fun run; a race clock will display elapsed time at the finish and participants may use personal watches or apps for exact times.
Participant packets and bibs are available at the OHPS district office on the Friday before the event; t-shirts are not supplied for registrations after May 15. Food trucks will be on site for purchases. Free parking is available at Windjammer Park and at the end of SE City Beach Street. Oak Harbor Fire Department will provide medical assistance as needed. Pets should be left at home; 1980s style attire is optional but certain costumes that create trip hazards are not allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
