Oh My Guad! 5K Beer Run
Oh My Guad! is an annual community 5K run held at Guadalupe Brewing Company in New Braunfels, Texas. The event includes food, music, beer, and encourages costumes with a recurring theme of tutus and hats. Organizers will award a prize for the most unique hat and give a commemorative Guadalupe Brewing poker chip or golf ball marker to participants who wear a hat.
Proceeds benefit St. Jude's Ranch for Children and George Gervin Academy Sea Cadets. Event shirts are limited; participants who want a shirt are asked to register by Monday, September 14 to guarantee one.
Online entry fees vary by registration period, with listed amounts from $40 through $65 depending on date. Early packet pickup and on site registration are available on October 1 and October 2 in the evening, and packets and registration will also be available on race morning.
The race is professionally timed and scored by RaceTimerz, LLC using reusable RFID shoe tags. Runners should wear their bibs visible and pinned at all four corners. Results will be available at the event kiosk and from the timing company.
Awards are given for overall male and female, masters 40 and over, age group placings, and a Top Dog Award for the top three dogs finishing the 5K with their registered owners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
