OG 5K Run/Walk
The OG 5K Run/Walk is a community road race held at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, NY. Registration is not yet open for the next edition; previous editions included an accompanying free Kids Fun Run.
Event amenities listed by the organizer include a personalized bib for participants who register at least three weeks in advance, refreshments, free finish line photos, a fully marked 5K route, and live online results. There is no formal bag check; an informal area for belongings is typically available in the staging area. Participants should expect a parking fee upon entry to the park.
A virtual participation option is offered that allows competitors to complete the distance remotely during a specified window following the in-person event. Hydration is provided at the halfway point and at the finish. Public park restrooms are located near the finish area.
Awards are given by overall placement and by age group. The top overall male and female receive a one month OG Unlimited membership, and top finishers in each age category receive an OG Training Academy 5K race medal. Bib pickup is managed by event staff starting before the race and personalized bibs are mailed for virtual entrants when applicable.
