Off Road Duathlon
The Off Road Duathlon at Laurel Hill County Park combines trail running and mountain biking over a three part course on natural, unimproved trails. The course format is:
- 2 mile run
- 7 mile bike ride
- 2 mile run
All participants receive a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall and in each age group, and to the first place male and female masters finishers.
Advance registration is required and on-site registration is not available. Registration ends Wednesday, January 6. Participants ages 10 to 15 may register but must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations received after 12/22/26.
Race operations note a transition area for set up between legs. Helmets are required. Bikes with wide, knobby tires are recommended for the bike course and e bikes are not permitted. A course map is available.
An Off Road Kids event precedes the duathlon. It is a short, untimed run for children, requires separate registration for a fee of $5, includes a finisher medal, and requires a parent or guardian to be present.
Event location is Laurel Hill County Park in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The loop course includes water stations and uses natural trail surfaces; accessible port a let is available while accessible parking is not. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
