ARAVAIPA's OC Trail Runners Group Run
ARAVAIPA hosts a free, social and non-competitive group run on September 12, 2026 in the Newport Coast area at El Moro and Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. The event is organized by Aravaipa's California Race Director together with the OC Trail Runner Director and focuses on enjoying the outdoors and running in good company.
Meetup location is in front of the restrooms at Coastal Peak Park, 20403 East Coastal Peak, Newport Coast (cross streets East Coastal Peak and Ridge Park Road). The planned route for this meeting is approximately 6.5 miles with about 1,165 feet of vertical gain. The course is hilly and includes steep rocky sections. The route is subject to change due to occasional intermittent closures within the park.
Participants should have prior trail running experience and be comfortable on trails that include steep uphill sections and rocky downhills. The event is social rather than competitive. Complimentary snacks and a raffle drawing are available after the run. Participants are advised to bring hydration and some fuel for the route.
